The National Park Service has recently amended its General Management Plan to allow private ranchers who run commercial dairy and beef ranches within Point Reyes National Seashore to expand their businesses. They will be allowed to raise sheep and goats, they can apply for chickens and pigs as well as planting commercial row crops such as artichokes.
The National Park Service has also approved the killing of native Tule elk to ensure there is enough grass for cows which graze in the National Park.
The ranchers will also be allowed to convert historical buildings to Airbnb type rentals and bring in mobile slaughter houses.
